Kellie’s 5th Birthday Party

We did do a big party for Kellie today and I cooked burgers and dogs on the grill, my neighbor made noodle salad and brought over. We put up the tent to either stay out the sun or rain since it couldn’t make up it’s mind. We almost canceled it though because we thought no one was coming but in the end it all went well and we had lots of family over to enjoy Kellie’s birthday. Marc Jr was here this weekend too and the girls were here so we had a house full as usual already but dad and Lynn came, mom and Granny Tootsie, Hollie and Chad, Granny and Grandaddy, and my neighbor Bruce and his mom (we missed you Lonnie.)I spent a lot of time cooking burgers, I think 17 total at one time. Kriss was running in and out the house making cheese dip and running to the store at the last minute for the cake and other supplies so it was a mad house for a little while. Then when we got all the food outside and ready to eat all these stupid flies came so we ate burgers with one hand and swatted with the other. Kriss got Kellie a Disney Princess castle cake so we all came back in and ate cake and ice cream inside in the ac away from the flies. Kellie got lots of nice presents but she especially liked two which were two necklaces. Grandaddy got her a locket that she’s been asking him for and mom got her a ruby necklace which is her birthstone. She loves both of them and alternates between them both. I told her she needed a picture of her dad in the locket. LOL

Then we turned on the Wii and showed everyone how good Kellie was and also shuttled some back to the bedroom and let Marc Jr, Alyssa, and Erin show off on Rock Band. I think everyone had a good time and it was much needed in this family after the past few years. Thanks for coming everyone.
