Our four kids

I know my family understands all of this but I get a lot of visitors from other sites, especially people looking for information on Walt Disney World, and you may be wondering about the Disney trips and who gets to go. We have four kids total, Alyssa and Erin are Kriss’ girls and they live with us and go visit their dad every other weekend plus different holidays. Marc Jr is my son and he lives with his mom 300 miles away in the opposite direction from Disney, and comes to visit every other weekend, different holidays, and a month in the summer. Then there is Kellie which is ours together. So most of the time we have three kids, every other weekend we have four kids, and the opposite weekend we have one.

We’ve learned lots of things about Disney over the years and we try to do our best to minimize cost in our trips but the money and logistics it would take to get the six of us there and back for a quick weekend trip is prohibitive. So on the weekends that we only have one child is when these “Last Minute Trips” come up. They are usually short notice so there is little planning in advance, and between using our DVC membership or annual passes for discounts on a room, the trips usually cost little more than gas and food. Then on the family trip where we stay all week we do a lot more “big kid” stuff since Kellie gets to go more often and do the stuff she likes that would bore the mind out of the other three.

So I hope you understand that what looks on the surface like an unfair situation really is the best way we think to handle it with our Brady Bunch meets the Osbournes family situation.
